Ryan is 2 years old. His vocabulary is growing every day, including words like articulated, stupendous, humongous, stabilizers, and feller-buncher. He is obsessed with trucks and can tell you more about them than you'd probably care to know. He loves to talk and pretty much narrates every move all day long.

He's still constantly in motion, running around exploring everything he can get his hands on, but now he explores as much with words as with his eyes and hands. He asks lots of questions, like "What's that noise?" and "What's that?" and "What are you doing?"

He's a terrific big brother to Katie, and he tries very hard to be gentle with her. He hasn't quite gotten the hang of being quiet around her, though, so occasionally his sudden roaring like a monster or a giant or a tiger will make her cry and he will immediately ask, "Why Katie's crying?" Oh well, one of them will figure it out eventually. He's very good at bringing her toys when she cries, although he's more likely to drop one on her head than actually hand it to her. But he's trying!
