Ryan is 5 years old. We're doing home schooling at a kindergarten level, although he still attends preschool two mornings a week. He's already reading on a third-grade level, can proudly spell and write his full name, does basic math, and will happily spend hours putting together any set of Legos he can get his hands on.

He's generally a terrific big brother to Katie, although he often loses his patience with her, especially when she's trying to steal his stuff. They go to preschool and gymnastics at the same time, although in different classes, and they're surprisingly good about playing together after both.

Sometimes we make up our own gymnastics challenges. 

When we're not doing gymnastics, Ryan likes to make up stories, preferably about trucks (or Power Rangers, or Transformers, or Spiderman).
